"Party Line" refleja "la dictadura" de las nuevas tecnologías en la Beckett
El autor teatral Marc Rosich refleja en la obra de teatro "Party Line", dirigida por Andrea Segura, "la dictadura" de las nuevas tecnologías y realiza "una mirada crítica" de la soledad e incomunicación que padece la sociedad actual. La pieza puede verse del 14 de junio al 1 de julio en la Sala Beckett.
"Party Line" muestra "una preocupación ante la pauta que marcan las nuevas tecnologías en las elecciones de cada uno convirtiéndonos en esclavos", apunto Rosich. La obra se concibe como "un teatro de voces" en el que se ven personas que hablan por el móvil, mensajes que no llegan a su destinatario y citas frustradas.
"Las voces tienen la cara de los actores con una etiqueta que muestra una infinidad de voces que existen en la sociedad", explicó Rosich. Las etiques se denominan con nombres de grandes marcas y franquicias: Habitat, Bershka, Starbucks y FNAC, entre otros.
Cada personaje refleja "el ideal de vida" estereotipado que venden estas marcas. "La chica Habitat es una chica que está encerrada en casa, una persona que crea su propia burbuja y está aterrorizada ante la realidad", apuntó la actriz que le da vida, Alicia González Laá.
En este sentido, la intérprete aseguró que "Party Line" retrata La Sala Obrador, el espacio de la Sala Beckett dedicado a la formación y experimentación de la dramaturgia, propone una serie de talleres, cursos y seminarios enmarcados en "L"Obrador d"Estiu".
"el anonimato y la capacidad de mentir que permiten las nuevas tecnologías", a lo que Rosich añadió que "la sociedad consumista también convierte a la sociedad en anónima, porque todos bebemos y vestimos lo mismo".
Por su parte, la directora Andrea Segura señaló que la obra "se ríe de una forma lúdica de la situación patética de la esclavitud tecnológica". Asimismo, la estructura de "Party Line" rompe con el espacio y el tiempo y no tiene "una trama en el sentido clásico".
Este proyecto que se inició el verano pasado vuelve a repetirse entre el 7 y el 15 de julio de 2007 en el Mas Espuella d"Argelaguer (Girona).
En su segunda edición, "L"Obrador d"Estiu" contará con profesionales de prestigio internacional como el británico Martin Crimp y el marroquí Ahmed Ghazali; y las visitas puntuales de Sergi Belbel, Ventura Pons, Jordi Galcerán y Àlex Ollé de La Fura dels Baus, entre otros.

In the five years since it was founded (in 2003) the National Philharmonic of Russia has become one of the most famous musical ensembles in Russia. The orchestra is headed up by Vladimir Spivakov, a much celebrated personage in the musical world, and a musician of the highest standard, a wonderful violinist and conductor who has earned himself world renown.
The exquisite concert programme will combine the works of composers of different styles and eras: Bellini and Rossini, Verdi and Puccini, Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich. Premiere performance at the Mikhailovsky Theatre of Aram Khachaturyan's ballet, "Spartacus", directed by Georgy Kovtun The production contains thrilling scenes of gladiator battles, Bacchic orgies, ecstatic feasts. This is one of the most masculine ballets, permeated with the heroism of gladiators and Roman legionaries, which has a new resonance thanks to scenes with battles between women gladiators. The stage will be framed on three sides by a 36-metre backdrop. Several hundred different costumes have been created specially for this ballet, and there is one further unique feature of this production, with the soloists having to contend with serious opponents in the form of real tigresses.

Benefice Concert for ballet soloist Denis Matvienko featuring stars of the Bolshoy and Mariinsky Theatres
Denis Matvienko is the winner of three dance Grand-Prix: Luxembourg (1997), Budapest, International Nureyev Ballet Competition (1998) and the 10th International Competition for Ballet Dancers and Choreographers in Moscow (2005). Denis was also awarded the gold medal and Vatslav Nijinsky prize in Japan. Currently, this Ukranian dancer has contracts booked three years in advance. This extraordinary man's ability to devote himself to his work is astonishing. How does he manage to prepare more and more new parts with such a tightly-filled schedule? Denis Matvienko avoids any hint of artificiality with his skill and natural style, there is no false pathos, no insincere insight. His heroes are real live people. The temperament of each character always reflects his own personal national characteristics. Remaining within the classics, Denis delicately synthesizes the wealth of folk choreography with traditional forms of classical dance.

Neil laBute (1963, Detroit):
Sota els plàtans del Casino de Tortellà, on no t'imaginaries mai l'autor de Gorda, La forma de les coses, el director de The wicker man o En compañía de hombres, Neil laBute, el convidat estrella de la tercera edició dels seminaris internacionals de dramatúrgia organitzats per la Sala Beckett de Barcelona, va mantenir una conversa «de pagès» –pel lloc i l'interès del contingut de la conversa– amb alguns periodistes. El darrer que s'ha vist de laBute és la versió catalana de La forma de les coses, al Lliure, dirigida per Julio Manrique, i és lògic que la conversa comencés per aquí. «Certament, els personatges són un reflex de part de la societat nord-americana –diu el dramaturg–, però la meva pretensió no és pas fer un documental, sinó construir personatges interessants i complexos, tot i que no extrems, perquè si no, no són versemblants. Això sí, poden fer coses extremes en fer passar per davant la seva faceta d'artistes per sobre de la seva condició de persones.» Uns personatges que, segons laBute, podrien arribar a ser universals. El dramaturg no creu que sigui pessimista, tot i la gran càrrega de crítica envers la societat que acostumen a traginar les seves obres. Es defineix més aviat «escèptic» respecte a la gent i en remarca les seves contradiccions: «Entenc la capacitat que té una mateixa persona de fer el bé i, gairebé immediatament, també el mal.»
A laBute, segons ell mateix, el paguen «per crear conflictes, fent que la gent s'entretingui amb coses que no hagin vist abans», per això diu que recrea situacions límit. En tota la seva obra, el dramaturg ha mirat d'explorar la naturalesa humana, centrant-se en determinats aspectes, com ara el conflicte entre aparença i realitat: «Sempre m'ha interessat aquesta mena de màscares que es posa la gent i quelcom tan americà com l'obsessió per la joventut, la bellesa física, el poder i els diners, la culpa de la qual és, en part, de la publicitat.» L'argument de Reasons to be pretty, que estrenarà l'any que ve a Broadway –la primera vegada que hi estrena–, també gira sobre això, ja que explica la història d'un home abandonat per la seva xicota després que aquesta descobrís que ell la considera lletja.
Pel que fa al cinema, el seu pròxim treball com a guionista i director és Lakeview Terrace, amb Samuel L. Jackson al repartiment, que s'estrenarà al setembre als EUA. Alguns detractors del cinema de laBute afirmen que hi ha un desequilibri entre el text i les imatges, que no són potents, un defecte que el dramaturg accepta i justifica per la seva faceta de guionista: «Importa molt més què es diu, qui ho diu, a qui ho diu i com ho diu, mentre que la càmera és un instrument. Les escenes que cerquen la bellesa estètica només serveixen per emmascarar.» I és precisament el cinema, i la manca de creativitat que es detecta en el de factura nord-americana, el següent tema de conversa –mentrestant, es menja la llimona del refresc–: «A Europa es té aquesta sensació perquè la quantitat que es veu de cinema fet als EUA és enorme i, per tant, hi ha un fenomen de saturació», diu laBute, que a Europa se sent ben rebut: «Aquí sempre et recorden pel teu millor treball, i això m'agrada molt, mentre que als Estats Units la referència sempre és el teu darrer treball.»
